Oilfield Joke: Some things are better left alone..

“C’mon Ma you have got to try it” the petroleum engineer pleaded to his elderly Mother.

He did not know how his Mother lasted this long without ever using the internet, but enough was enough!

“Ok” she said reluctantly settling down by the computer and slowly putting on her reading glasses.

 “what do I do now?”

“Now I’m going to open the home page of Google”, he explained.

 “OK here it is!

Now type in ANY question you want into the bar over here and you will find an answer to your question. He confidently assured her.

His Mother looked at him warily, thought for a second, and slowly began to type,

"How is your wife doing this morning?"

Oilfield Joke: Life as a Safety Engineer...

A Seventy-two-year-old Safety Engineer recently picked a new primary care physician. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, the doctor said he was doing "fairly well" for his age.

A little concerned about that comment, the Safety Engineer couldn't resist asking the doctor, "Do you think I'll live to be 80?"

The doctor asked, "Well, do you smoke or drink beer?"

"Oh no," He replied, "I've never done either."

Then the doctor asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and bar-b-qued ribs?"

The HSE man said, "No, I've heard that all red meat is very unhealthful!"

"Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf?" the doctor asked.

"No, I don't," he replied.

Then the doctor asked, "Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or run around with women?"

"No," he said, "I don't do any of those things."

The good doctor looked at the Engineer and said, "Then why the heck do you want to live to be 80?"
