Oilfield Joke: You Can't Take it with You.

An old oil and gas producer was on his death bed and he was obsessed with taking some of his money with him. He called his minister, his lawyer, and his partner to his bedside. "Here's $30,000 cash to be held by each of you. I'm trusting you to put the money in my coffin."

At the funeral, each man put an envelope in the coffin.  As they drove to the cemetery, the minister suddenly broke into tears and confessed, "My envelope only had $20,000 in it because the Church needs $10,000 for roof repair."

"Well, since we're confiding in each other," said the lawyer, "I only put $10,000 in my envelope. I provide free legal services to an orphanage that will soon have to close unless it raises $20,000."

"I'm ashamed of both of you," said the oil and gas producers partner... "I want it known that I put a check in my envelope for the full $30,000."

The Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry has historically been a very cyclical industry that fatigues even the best of equipment and personnel. If we as an industry do not invest in health, education and welfare programs,
we will lose our most valuable assets...... our hard working people.

Oilfield Appreciation Days support Oilfield Worker Health, Education and Welfare efforts, locally and abroad..

Our Mission:
Oilfield Appreciation Days are held through-out the year in areas with high concentrations of oilfield families. These events will serve as fundraisers that will in turn be used to benefit a variety of health, education and welfare programs and charities that stay in direct contact with oilfield workers and their families

Oilfield Joke: Oil and Gas Operator Seeks Advice

The oil and gas operator was in a big financial trouble...  He had bought and contracted several thousand acres of minerals thinking that the area was the next big play, and instead, it was a bust.  It was so bad he was even contemplating becoming a roughneck again.

As a last resort, he went to see a priest and poured out his story of tears and woe.

When he finished, the priest said, "Here's what I want you to do... Put a beach chair and a Bible in your car and drive up in the mountains to the lake. Take the chair and the Bible to the water's edge, sit down in the chair, and put the Bible in your lap. Open the Bible... The wind will rifle the pages, but finally the open Bible will come to rest on a page. Look down at the page and read the first thing you see. That will be your answer... That will tell you what to do."

A year later the oil and gas operator was back to see the priest. The operator was driving a new Lincoln and wearing a pair of high-dollar boots and an expensive felt hat. The operator pulled an envelope stuffed with money out of his pocket and gave it to the priest as a donation in thanks for the advice.

The priest recognized the benefactor, and was curious. "You did as I suggested?" he asked.

"Absolutely," replied the oil and gas operator.

"You went to the lake?"

"Absolutely."

"You sat in a beach chair with the Bible on your lap?"

"Absolutely."

"You let the pages rifle until they stopped?"

"Absolutely."

"And what were the first words you saw?"

"Chapter 11."

Oilfield Joke: Can a Rig Hand Fly?

Rueben the Rig Hand awoke in a hospital bed in a body cast from head to toe.  His associate, Jack, stood gravely at the foot of the bed.
"What happened?" moaned Rueben.

"You don't remember?" asked Jack.  "After we shut down the rig and got the trucks on the road, we ended up at a party at the hotel.  We had a few beers -- Well, more than a few.  Anyway, by 2:00 AM, you were standing on a 3rd floor balcony rail proclaiming you were going to fly around the building."

"But you're my best friend!  Why didn't you stop me?"  whined Rueben the Rig Hand.

"Well, you see," said Jack, "Given my condition at the time, I thought you could do it."

Oilfield Joke: A Tool Pushers Final Journey

A priest was preparing a Tool Pusher for his final journey...

Whispering urgently, the priest said, "Denounce the devil! Let him know that you reject his evil!"

The Tool Pusher said nothing.

The priest repeated his order. Still the Tool Pusher said nothing.

The priest asked, "Why do you refuse to denounce the devil and his evil?"

The Tool Pusher said, "Until I know where I'm heading, I don't think I ought to aggravate anybody!"

Happy Holidays and May God Bless You from Oilfield Appreciation Days!
