 You are Invited to the North Texas -  Oilfield Appreciation Days - Sporting Clays Classic being held September 07, 2012 , at Elm Fork Shooting Sports, Dallas, Texas.  Thursday September 6th is a day of practice, registration, Calcutta Auction and socializing with Friday September 7th  being the 5-man team 100 clay competition with a  10:00 AM and a 1:30 PM starting time. Lunch and Prizes will be between shooting times.  Deadline for entering is Friday 31st of August 2012. $250 per shooter. $1250 per team. Each shooter gets 100 clays (no ammo), Oilfield Appreciation gift bag filled with sponsored goodies, Appreciation Plaque, Custom Shooting Towel, Door Prize Tickets, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Tickets and more !
 We will be giving away Guns, Hunting and Fishing trips, Costa Rica Vacations, Outdoor Gear, Electronics and much much more!

   Most of us know that it is rare for anyone outside of the Oil and Gas Industry to hear or feel anything positive about what we do for a living, but the truth is that our industry is full of great people, doing great things, All over the World.

 PLAY GAMES AND WIN GUNS - The Games can  be played  on  Thursday and Friday.   This  is a great  way to practice before you compete.   The flush is known to be  addictive.  Don’ t  forget  to bring  your  .410 or  .28 gauge gun.

TWO-MAN FLUSH - The Two-Man Flush is a game where you and your shooting partner shoot 30 targets in 60 seconds.  The cost is $10 per shooter.  All participants are entered into Friday night’s Grand Door Prize drawing.  A trophy will be given to the High Overall team.
LONG BIRD- $10 per shooter for 5 Clays at Long Distance with 2 shots at each. 
TOP SHOT COURSE - $40 per shooter. The “Top Shot” style course for cash and prizes Featuring exploding targets and ALL types of weapons, from primitive to full auto AR’s!
WIND CHIME- For $10 per ticket, you get a maximum of 5 targets with 1 shot per target.  The object is to hit the target and the wind chime.  Once you hit, your round is complete.  Every time you hit, your name gets added to Friday's drawing and  increases your chances to win the grand door prize. 
CALCUTTA - The Calcutta is an event where shooters are auctioned off to the highest bidder.  If a shooter wants to be auctioned in the Calcutta, he must pay a $25 registration fee.  All of the monies from the auction and the Calcutta registration will become the Calcutta pot.  The Calcutta pot is paid out to the top five positions (1st place thru 5th place) of registered Calcutta participants.   There is no special requirements to be a bidder...other than bid high!

  • All Auction Money and Entry fees goes to the pot. 
  • Scores from 2011 will be used for ranking or known ability  
  • Payoff To The Top Five Shooters: 
  •  1st Place—30% of Pot 
  • 2nd Place—25% of Pot 
  • 3rd Place—20% of Pot 
  • 4th Place—15% of Pot 
  • 5th Place—10% of Pot 
  • Owners receive 80% of the Payoff For Their Position, Shooters receives 20%

THURSDAY, September 6th Tournament Registration Opens at 3 pm 
  • 3 PM Practice Available for $40 per 80 on 5 stand courses.
  • 3 PM Flurry & Wobble, Flush, Sub Gauge, Long bird & Wind Chime Games open
  • 5 PM Calcutta Auction -  Dinner
FRIDAY, September 7th Tournament Registration Opens at 9 am
  • 9 am Breakfast 
  • 9 am Flush, Flurry, Top Shot,  Long bird  & Wind Chime Games open 
  • 10 am Morning Flight Shooters begin  100 Clay Tournament 
  • 10 am -Noon Registration for PM shoot
  • 11:30- 1:30 Lunch provided   
  • 1:30 pm Afternoon Flight Shooters begin 100 Clay Tournament
  • 3:30  pm Door Prizes & Awards 
This is a team event and classed by a Lewis Class Scoring System.  All participants must be directly engaged in the petroleum industry (immediate family accepted).  Trophies will be given to the teams in each class as well as the HOA and the Lady’s HOA. Registration deadline is August 31, 2012.  To keep your position in the tournament, completed registration forms and entry fees must be in by the deadline.  Those teams that fail to meet the deadline will be forfeited and the position will be available for those on our waiting list. Shooters will provide their own ammunition and eye and ear protection.  No one under the age of 18 allowed to drive golf carts or four-wheelers.
AMMO - .410, .28, .20 & .12 gauge ammunition for sale at cost while supplies last.
MULLIGANS - Mulligans will be available for this event at $25 each. 
WIN A GUN -  If you win a gun, you must complete a federally mandated form 4473 (commonly known as the “Yellow Sheet”).  If you have your concealed handgun license, the address on your license must match the address you put on the form 4473.  If the address doesn’t match, you must provide proof of address.  Valid proof of address includes a current driver’s license, insurance card, or utility bill.   If you do not possess a concealed handgun license, you must have valid government issued photo identification and pass the FBI background check.  A valid photo ID includes a state issued driver’s license or a passport.  If the address on your photo ID is not current and will not match the address on your form 4473, you must provide proof of address.  Valid proofs of address include a current insurance card or utility bill. If for any reason your background check is not cleared by Saturday evening, you will have to pick up your gun from Oilfield Appreciation Day's gun dealer
